This week I don’t have an outfit or food post but I do want to share some favorite moments from life lately~

Above is the lovely backdrop of my wedding shower! My bridesmaids held the event at one of their homes and made my boho dreams come true! I’m a lucky lady when it comes to friendships, truly lucky.

Been obsessed with the newly opened Revelator on the Westside of town. Their iced espresso with almond milk is on point!

Mom, Dustin and I made our own soy candles for the wedding party table using old candy dishes and jars. They turned out great!

We decided this year to skip Music Midtown and then at the last minute our friend Courtney hooked us up with a free pass for Friday. We rode our bikes from the house – around 4 miles each way – made attending and exiting a breeze!

We saw Metric and Elton John, both of which, killed it. Metric was upbeat and we turned it into a 3 person (Me + D + Muriel) dance party and Elton was, FANTASTIC. Definitely a bucket list moment!

VSCO partnered up with Artifact Uprising and gave away a free print and I got this photo from our engagement shoot in an 8.5×11. I was blown away with the quality! We are going to frame for our little home.

Speaking of great quality and Muriel, this tote basket is a recent gift from her trip to Morocco! Her and her bf were traveling for about two weeks and picked this up on like the second day, it then went from Morocco to Spain and then to ATL – it’s well-traveled already!

There ya have a short and sweet recap of recent life. Happy Friday + enjoy the weekend!!

PORCH HANGS

Originally I had written a whole bunch for this post and then something happened and none of it was saved. So I’m going to keep it short because, well, no one likes to do things twice so I’ll just let the photos do the talking *Insert wide-eyed emoticon here*

My buddy Kristie Jo moved to the Morningside area of Atlanta and I paid her a visit with camera in tow since her home decorating skills are always on point. I had planned to take interior photos but when I saw the porch situation I fell in love! Take a peek:

The prettiest blue eyed Siamese around, Miss Mod. Don’t let her fluff fool you, she’s tiny!

Our dinner was a tasty chicken caesar salad. Not pictured: the delicious champagne and St. Germain concoction she whipped up!

This is the entrance and front porch. The apartment is part of a three-story home with the owner living on floors one and three, unique right? He did a great job transforming the space!

Tucked inside city woods, this little space is the perfect hideaway. Still can’t believe she found it on Craig’s List, I swear these rad living spaces find her!

Thanks girl for letting me share your home!

WIGWAM WELLNESS FESTIVAL SERIES

Remember this post where I mentioned I’d be helping with the Wigwam Wellness Festival Series? Well, I’ve been in full swing since March!  The first date was April 12th and I attended the fest as a guest to get acquainted and have my own Wigwam experience, it was awesome and it made me so proud to be involved! This past weekend I attended as the photographer and though the first half was during a torrential downpour, the ladies behind the logistics pulled it off without a hitch, and that day was awesome as well!  Along with photographing, I’ve been running the Instagram account, which is really fun because it involves spicing up photos with boho graphics using the Rainbow Love App and A Beautiful Mess.

I compiled my favorite photos from 4/19 that will give you an idea of what the Wigwam Experience is all about.

Each morning starts with a welcome ceremony that consists of a variety of music, motivation, meditation, huzzahs and a gong! Then everyone goes off to their first experience. Followed by a 15 minute break then onto the next experience.

Each festival date has vendors that sell goods during the day. To name a few there has been -organic makeup, oils, camping gear, yoga mats, soy candles and cold pressed juices!

The Chattahoochee Nature Center is something in and of itself a magical place. It’s really the perfect spot for a yoga and wellness retreat with it’s 127 acres of beautiful trees, flowers, lakes, preservation areas, bird exhibits, butterfly gardens…the list goes on!

The lineup includes classes for all levels and the instructors are really sweet and help the beginners and also give the experienced yogis a chance to push themselves.

Photographing this event is a different pace for me.  I’m used to event photography, but adding fitness and lots of movement makes it a really fun challenge! I’m looking forward to this Sunday’s experience, especially since the sun is supposed to make an appearance. Check out the line up for 4/26 and 5/3 and come out and join us!

INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY PICNIC

Sunday was International Women’s Day and what better way to celebrate ladies than have a picnic in the park?! The weather was perfect. The drinks and food were delicious. The company was lovely. For entertainment we had a dogs of all shapes and sizes.  I made a quick punch consisting of chardonnay, champagne, crushed blackberries and seltzer water.  My carpool buddy and I took the easy route with food and went to our local Kroger.  She got chicken salad, bread bites, deviled eggs, potato salad and I got sushi (they have an in store chef and it’s surprisingly good!) and an apple pie for dessert.  Elizabeth made cucumber strawberry salads she stored in mason jars for easy travel.  In between laughter and story telling we made flower crowns from real flowers. Can you tell I have a thing for boho head gear?! 16592492629_c88c8c79a0_k
