on Wednesday i met up with a friendly photographer named Cameron who recently relocated to Atlanta from Chattanooga. previously he’s managed the blog Chattanoogan and has now started up Atlanta Street Fashion, which i think is fabulous! atlanta has many fashionistas out there that do not get recognized and it’s time some light is shed! Cameron and i ran into one another at my friend Kareem’s bike shop striking up conversation about fashion//blogs//bikes afterwards we decided we should schedule a shoot, and my am i glad! the photos turned out really lovely ((minus the fact i totally curled my hair and it fell INSTANTLY, damn this humid southern heat!)), he’s got a good eye and wasn’t afraid to run around the streets to get the perfect shot. the photos were taken in Virginia-Highlands, one of the cutest neighborhoods in all of ATL!!
i like his write up so much i want to go ahead and post here:

A chance encounter over vintage bicycles resulted in
shoptalk about a mutual interest in fashion blogging.
Odd how gossip begets gossip. From bikes to looks,
what do idle bloggers have to say for themselves?
“My mom was into yard sales and took me along,”
she told me of her life long interest in thrifting and
bargain shopping. “I remember in fourth or fifth grade,
my friends had an event to bring together and trade
things we didn’t want, girly things and knick knacks.”
Now she shares her finds and tales of Atlanta living with
the followers of LadyFLASHBACK. It’s a fitting name for
someone who draws inspiration from the past while
illuminating the present as both photographer and model.

i’m also really excited to show off my “new” wheels. the bike was donated to me in very poor condition, but with the help of Kareem it’s now up and running and i’m in LOVE! i’ve never ridden a road bike ((nor a single-speed)) before so my first cruise was a bit nerve-racking but i quickly got the hang of it and have been biking all over town with my vintage beauty.

special thanks to Kareem!

Happy Weekend!

You are like the only woman in the world who looks good in a romper. Partially because it fully makes sense with your style.

I met Cameron the other day–he wandered into my work. He was so creative and sweet! It’s awesome that you ran into him. These snaps are great.
