Sundowns on The Lake.

all tops are vintage!!

Around 2 on Saturday Dusty, Andrea and I headed back out to the laketo have a mega tailgate at my parents house for the SEC Championships. In case you are unaware, the South is really REALLY b.i.g. about college football.  I had mentioned earlier that my brother is a football player and also my boyfriends brother is a football player.  So like it or not, I am into the sport as well. Kind of a weird fact about me. Feels rather odd to admit it in writing, but whatev. We had an awesometime yesterday, cheering on the Tide against Florida, but sadly we lost 20-31.  Oh well, everyone had enough whiskey and beer to keep’em in high spirits about the bowl game. After that caos we retired early and I went to bed rereading The Perks of Being a Wallflower.  I had read it in high school and decided to read it again due to it being amazing.

Today I am going to the University of Alabama Arboretum for the DCDC Craft Fair, put on by a local crowd of social drinkers. It should be awesome, the sun is shining and the booth holders are really cool crafty people. well,
I suppose that is my Sunday ramblings for now.

Leaving you with some photos (taken with my new, early, Christmas gift) of my favorite accessories this winter.

purchased at H&M, Atlanta

found these at America’s Thrift, such a steal.

Get out and enjoy your Sunday!!

Beaded and Fringed

*****

Last night was spent at the parents house on Lake Tuscaloosa, watching a movie and eating home made potato soup.  After returning back to town we headed to a party at the Gribbon House and brought over two handmade ornaments I sewed for their DIY tree (decorate it yourself).  They had made some spiked cider that was super delish and had a mega dance party going on.  I wore the 80s sweater I found at America’s Thrift a couple of days ago.

Classy Success

The Classy Christmas Party last night was total success.  I had a house full of folks in their nicest attire and tons of holiday cheer.  We had an open dance floor, food galore, whisky punch, vodka jello shots, and tunes pumping from random ipods.  This morning has been spent cleaning, recovering with a a little yoga, and curling up near the electric heater.  Tonight I’m going to a friends house for another Christmas party and will be going with the red/black theme with an 80s vintage sweater.

Love the Holidaze!!

Kristie and I

Both dresses are vintage.

I saved a bunch of cute shaped jars and made this center piece, thanks Southern Living for the idea!

Miss Kitty was the last one standing at the end of the night. .
What a grand time.

glorious gloomy day.

Oh My have the last few days been wild. My car decided to be rude and need a tire replaced along with not starting. All is well, my parents did all the repairs and said ‘Merry Christmas’ but you know what I’m having a party tonight and nothing can get me down.  There is a theme to tonight’s party: Classy Christmas, and I will be wearing a vintage piece I picked up a few days ago.  Along with party planning and photo shoots for the Ebay store I was also surprised yesterday by a package from my sweetie.  He knew how obsessed I am with picture taking that he gave me an early present and it was the Nikon Coolpix that I was looking at!!! So there will be lots of photos to post after tonight’s shindig. I have cleared out a dance floor, set up a punch and finger foods table, and decorated like Martha herself.  So thrilled!!

Oh and in other awesome news I made my first Esty sale!!!!! Here is what I sold:

They went for $75.00 bucks, I did a little dance around the house and have been giddy ever since. Congrats Janet on your new Vintage Chanel Thongs!!

xoxo,
jess.

Slightly Late.

There’s nothing like riding your bike home on a crisp night with frozen fingers, nose, and toes.  Monday and Tuesday have been spent Christmas crafting it up for the party on Thursday, taking photos, thrift shopping, etc etc. I had to give up the chicken too, turns out she was not a she but in fact a he. Apparently at 6:00am. Oh well the chick was fun while it lasted. Tomorrow Sav and I are taking more photos for the store after a failed attempt today.  Should be a  good shoot, we found some awesome gear at the thrift shop. Here are some photos from auctions that recently ended (S.o.r.r.y.) and I never got around to posting them due to the holidaze and such.  so sorry. the coat sets are super fab.
