me!
been wearing this jacket weekly since January.. well minus those few days of Summer we got..see full post here.
obsessing over this color for a while now and just added a super stylish trench coat in a darker shade of army green to my closet via H&M — excited to wear and share it’s contrast black sleeves here on the blog! think that makes something like 4 jackets I have in this shade and that’s just jackets..also just added a pair of pants from LOFT and have a few other articles of clothing. it’s becoming a neutral for me as it mixes well with black, grey, white..EVERYTHING. .
just wanted to get in a quick post before a busy weekend including a beer fest tonight in L5P and Scoutmob’s Halloween bash tomorrow! Dustin and I will be in costumes both nights! if you’re current location is like us here in ATL, then you’re already in full Halloween festivities swing, have a fun weekend!

Another new-to-me dress I picked up from selling/trading in clothes at Buffalo Exchange. Loving its African fabric vibes. This dress will be great for this season but is also light enough to wear in warmer temperatures with strappy sandals.

Meet one of my newest tattoos by local artist and tattoo artist Sam Parker. I drew up an idea and he perfected it, love how it came out!

This day was awesome. Hung out in Lil5 with Dustin, sold some clothes to Rag-o-Rama and picked up a second-hand maxi dress from Anthro and a kids XL skeleton sweatshirt I’m going to wear for this weekends Halloween parade, ate burritos at El Myr and then went to The Naked & Famous show at the Tabernacle and.it.RULED. I would say it doesn’t get much better but it seems that it can and does, life is good!

HAPPY HUMPDAY!

Tonight I attend another wedding but this time I’ll be second shooting with a friend to get some practice as I’d like to get into wedding photography as a little side business. More details on the wedding I was in as one of two MOH’s to come!

MUMFORD & SONS

I’ve been to more concerts than I could ever tally up and so many of them hold a special place in my memory for one reason or another. my first ever concert was Clint Black and Reba McEntire with my folks when I was in 1st or 2nd grade living in Montana. I can barely remember this one but still hold on to the memory of my brother crying cause he thought Reba was going to sing so long that Clint wasn’t going to come out- good stuff! there are so many different experiences you can get from a concert-there’s the shows you sweat like crazy while dancing your bum off and then there’s shows you sit and listen while peacefully taking it all in with goosebumps from head to toe. last weeks Mumford & Sons was a little bit of both! Dustin and I tried to get there in time to ride the Ferris wheel but unfortunately ATL traffic prevented that from happening but we did get to play in the Centennial Olympic Park’s fountains, grab some beers and fish tacos and squeeze into a spot on the lawn grabbing a seat on our picnic blanket for the openers-Bear’s Den & The Vaccines.

since I had my 50mm lens it was difficult to get concert shots from where we stood but I did like this one [above] though it didn’t capture the neat lights they had strung over the crowd that looked like backyard/cafe style. such a nice evening for a concert downtown overlooking the city, holding hands with my babe.

TALKING ART

this is a bit out of chronological order but we shall just call it a “flashback” since it was Aug 22nd when I went out to dinner and art gallery hopping with some friends. documented mine and Elizabeth’s outfits along with a few snaps around the galleries in the West Side area and Poncey Highlands.

after dining at Ormsby’s we headed to Kai Lin gallery to pop in and say hi to Jonny “Double Wolf” Warren and other artists hanging out drinking and doodling.

after Kai Lin we went to BEEP BEEP to view my roommate Chelsea Raflo’s exhibit which was showing from the beginning of August till now (show is about to come down). her and Mike Germon collaborated on a mixed show of some independent pieces along with a joint-effort mural in the back.

really need to watch her create each frame, one by one, and then to see it all come together and MOVE inside a video box she crafted by hand as well-so proud!

recognize the tiny person above wearing the ASOS Alice in Wonderland style dress? IT’S ELIZABETH from the above pics (with a lot more hair…this was pre-pixie cut obv..)! months ago, Chelsea and Eliz did a shoot together and Chelsea cut out some frames and used the stills of Eliz for one of the videos and then reused them in the dual effort collage, hoping we get to keep some of these around the house after the show comes down!

don’t know about you all but I’m glad my labor day weekend was chill. I desperately needed to catch up on some house stuff, freelance stuff and LIFE stuff.
good luck with going back to work tomorrow!
