THE GARM FARM —> once specializing in cotton-related machinery and later producing ammunition and mortars during World War II, now is a creative center for visual and performing arts including residential and commercial spaces. it truly is an inspiring place to escape to!

think this is my first ‘mirror outfit shot’ on the blog…don’t know what’s up with the serious face but it’s the best i can do to show a full length shot. it shall do. what do you think of the boutique-chic right?! i took a lot more for their Facebook page and website, however, these are the ones i thought YOU would dig. if you’re local, it’s worth paying a visit!

Date Dress

as a treat for surviving shows at the Mart i allow myself to get a piece from the showroom and it usually ends up being a dress. in between the International Gift and Apparel show (happening now) our Spring supplement started rolling in and when the girls saw the crochet collared polka dot number pictured below they just knew i would be snatching it up-and they were RIGHT!
they called it the “jess dress” for a reason as it’s “sooooo me”- haha!  from the time of purchase i had a particular occasion in mind for the “jess dress” which was a brunch date with a cute boy that ended up turning into a brunch + museum date this past Saturday.

i must say: the dress and the date were fabulous!

if you’re around the Atlanta area and want something interesting and educational to do this weekend i suggest the Michael C. Carlos museum on Emory’s campus! the exhibits include ancient Roman art, ancient Greek art and an Egyptian exhibit with mummies! also for a limited time they have a whole floor of mandala art, though we were super rushed through this section it was very interesting and so intricate!

scored a very Alexa Chung worthy vintage Talbots dress at Rag-O-Rama i’ve been wanting to style and wear out. the velvet is actually stretchy and the fit is super comfy just didn’t want to look too “Wednesday Adams” which isn’t necessarily at bad thing it’s just not typically my thing. when i was shopping and found the dress i was with a guy friend who actually made the suggestion to belt it, which was GENIUS because it really toned down the gothic vibe i was trying to avoid. take a peep at some photos i took at my new loft:

if so, you may recognize the above lil sketch called “sharp rocks” and well, now i have it tattoo’d on my right foot! the above pic was taken with my mom’s cell immediately after it was finished so it’s super puffy but it’s now basically healed. by referral i went to Charles at Only You Tattoo in Grant Park who was really nice and did a great job! thanks dude!

Fall Uniform

don’t know about you but this time of year im living in a dress, boots, tights and a few accessories including a leather bag of sorts. picked up a new belt at the showroom and have been obsessed, here i’ve paired it with a vintage Liz Claiborne dress:
