back in May, the ladies and i hit up Atlanta Streets Alive for the 1st annual ‘free health and community-oriented event’ in the heart of downtown. we grabbed our bikes, packed up some brews [not exactly ‘healthy’ per say…], made SURE to grab bubbles and set out on an all day adventure that no one wanted to end!!
[Mwah, Kat, Ash]
def brought the SPF, that day was BLAZZIN!
//AAAA//
Bikes! Bikes! Bikes!
the route was just under 2miles and that was n.o.t. enough! we made our own path through all of downtown ending in Centennial Olympic Park and then grabbing a DELISH meal at No Mas cantina.
bubblershhh wand!
we make rainbowz//
there were activities going on it all directions, biking/roller blading/scootering/walking/dancing/hula hooping/running/yoga’ing/break dancing! there were communal hula hoops that the girls and i Def partook in!
watch && learn!
these hula’s were made from irrigation pvc and grippie tap, which i plan to DIY for sure!! the weight of them made it much easier to keep up, a little better at it then i would have thought which made me very happy! love any new item to add to dancing!
the event plans to get grow and become a weekly critical mass which to me, sounds like a great idea for locals! they are modeling this after other countries’ successful gatherings like Bogotá, Colombia’s Ciclovia. so exciting to watch a city grow right before your eyes [such a cheeese ball!] but i really do love this place!

i must tell you all that a decision has been made lately that is kinda huge. in the last post i mentioned moving to San Diego, but things have changed. after thinking very hard over the last 1.5 months which is how long this had been planned…setting things nearly in stone…i’ve decided to stay in Atlanta. this is for many reasons but just to name a few: my friends! my family! ((all just under 4 hours distance)) and THIS CITY. not quite done with Atlanta && after only one year, i’m just getting started! so i’ll be in Atlanta for a bit after all if any nearby bloggers *cough COUGH* want to meet up!

June 6, 2010 at 4:53 pmWhat a fun summer day! I love these photos. You and your friends are so cute and look so happy.
And it was refreshing to see your decision to stay in Atlanta. Sometimes I think people are so anxious to move around all the time and leave, they forget what they are leaving behind. You can change scenery, but you can’t replace the time spent with good friends and loved ones. :)
I hope you’re having an amazing weekend!
