This past Saturday I had the pleasure of giving back to my community via the Operation PROM X Borrowed by Design dress drive in Buckhead. I brought along an embellished black Jessica McClintock dress from my senior year prom from back in 2004! The drive raised 73 dresses that will be donated to less fortunate girls around Georgia who, without the help of Operation PROM, wouldn’t be able to attend their formal dances. Here’s a short recap of the event in the Atlanta Tech Village-
I’m wearing a Banana Republic dress, purse by Zatchels, UO necklace, BCBG bracelet, and suede booties via Rag O Rama
Made with love by the Borrowed by Designs ladies
Each dress worn by the pageant winning models were later donated to the dress drive. Too cool that a high school girl will be able to wear a dress that was worn and WON in a pageant to her formal dance!!
Karen is the Atlanta Operation PROM director, she is wearing a vintage dress from her friends vintage shop. We chatted about our love for all things thrifted and Instagram, nice meeting you Karen!
Meet LaTisha of Blushing Black, my newest blogger gal pal, isn’t her peplum skirt fabulous?!
Knowing that I helped a high school girl attend one of her formal dances wearing something I wore and enjoyed when I was in high school means a lot! Thanks to Operation PROM and Borrowed by Design for allowing us to reach out to our community!
