Pretty much have everything moved! Well except for little bro’s car jam packed with a load-oh and my town house containing a small trailer load, so I guess there’s more work to be done!! I’m hoping to get family help and not be semi-solo anymore driving back and forth has taken a toll on the checkbook.
My last couple days in Tuscaloosa I spent time alone in the house organizing my crap-o-la and took some photos////
I spy a panther hidden in a field of junk
homemade streamers-bye bye!
Sadly MiMi couldn’t come to the city since she is a feral cat and needs the outdoors, but once KJO is back from New Hampshire Miss Kitty will have a caregiver.
Bought this rocking chair (Missoni look-a-like!) from the 450 Mile Yard Sale in Gadsden, AL for 10 bucks and sold it at my yard sale to some pals for 8 bucks. Enjoyed it for two years and now it’s with new folks seeing new things. For three or so nights a week ago I stayed by myself at the townhouse in Ttown and only had one chair: the rockin one above. I slept on a full mattress placed on the ground with two flat sheets and small fan aimed right on my sleeping area. It was nice to have a couple last days with my home, I tend to get sentimental when leaving a former homestead. Grits, Miss Kitty and I hung out and enjoyed the peacefulness of small town life for a little longer//
Yard Sale pile before setup, everything pictured is G-O-N-E.

In the midst of packing my USB cord went missing and another one is on the way, lots of photos trapped on the camera and coming soon!! Tomorrow I have an interview with Anthropologie @ the Lenox and am super excited, don’t want to get my hopes up but I am crossing the fingers!

June 10, 2009 at 1:14 amI know how you feel about leaving a home, I always feel like I’m leaving a friend too.
Oh! good luck on the interview! Is Anthro still giving out that pre-employment internet survey? Be careful about that one, the more vague your answers are, the less likely they are to hire you!

June 10, 2009 at 7:49 pmIt’s always so weird, but I love to see everything get packed up. It’s such an interesting process, because you clean everything up–throwing out the bad stuff, leaving the good behind—-it’s good to change!
Good luck with your interview! I’m sure you’ll do amazingly!

June 11, 2009 at 3:55 ami remember packing up a uhaul and driving away from tuscaloosa in 1999 – it was sad to see it go but i was moving to chicago and to a new phase in my life. i hope your move is exciting and that you get the job you want!
the good thing is that you will be close enough to visit sometimes!
we just put a contract on a house and **knock on wood** will be moving in the middle of july! i’ll try to do a better job of keeping in touch to keep you posted for when the painfully hip girls are coming our way but i have a 2 fantastic excuses for slacking: 1- the house commotion – buying is crazy stressful… and 2- i got engaged! yay!
have you found my new blog?

June 16, 2009 at 5:07 pmI, too, moved from Alabama several years ago… Eufaula specifically. Welcome to another Southern State (a better one, in my opinion).
