Friday was my ‘going all out’ night starting at El Rincon with some friends having a couple Modelos & then road bikes with my neighbor to a bonfire party.  It was loads of fun with many many laughs.  After I started looking at the photos I took from that night I realized my outfit had been worn before, and THEN I uploaded a friends cam for her and found more pictures of that outfit. not that big of a deal I just thought the pics from the Mellow Mushroom with all my gal pals turned out cute. take a looky.

The evening wasn’t that cold but gloves were def needed for riding my bike. I choose the best pair I have which are vintage leather xtra long pair I found on Ebay about a year ago.

I love this bucket purse, one of my favorite accessories and was found in the lamest place ever (Centreville, Alabama)

The night at the Shroom was a rainy one and so I had to tote along this guy I found at a thrift store somewhere in Bamaland, Kjo got a real kick out of it and took this funny picture.

Hope everyone’s weekend was great! We had sun sun sun & fun fun fun! So many more photos to post, I’m way behind-but nighty night for now.

An Evening in Ireland

These photos are from the previously mentioned art gallery opening at One Night Only Artique, where an old pal’s photography from Ireland was featured.

the opening gang

these ‘Socks of the Darned’ are made by a local artist. they are so incredibly cool I want one baaad.

Bre, the artist, actually made these light fixtures from a how-to in ReadyMade magazine, cool right?

my outfit:
sweater coat/Anthropologie, purse/Urban, shirt/H&M, jeans/Express via TJ Maxx
kjo’s: jacket/Vintage, jeans/F21

a laddy playing in the rocks of Ireland

The evening was a great time-there’s nothing better than a wall size photograph of Ireland & old friends.

Stray Cat Xing

Above is a tag (stencil) I designed last week with an old cereal box, exacto knife, cutting board, InDesign, & tracing paper.  I think people should be warned when they are in stray cat xing territory since homeless kitties are roaming every where.  Strayness is  actually how I acquired Miss Kitty (my cat) && the two others living with my parents, there’s nothing better than rescuing an animal.  I spray painted the table I have in my backyard as a tester and I think it went pretty swell.

Next is photos from my sneaky get away over to Atlanta for a night at the Five Spot and hanging with Dusty’s musician buddies.  It was awesome as expected with a strange abundance of sax players and The Girls Next Door playing behind the Five Spot Orchestra on a huge screen.

coat: UO, t-shirt: vintage t-shirt vendor from Birmingham, shades;purse;boots-vintage, fedora: vintage gift for my boyfriend that I sometimes borrow.

The following day we woke up and grabbed some coffee at a sweet joint called Octane, then headed off to scoop out the deals at the Salvation Army-1/2 off clothes Wednesday!  Dusty ended up with a sweet pair of running shoes and I found 5 totally awesome blouses of sorts!! I love S.A.! We later drove around looking at different areas of town we would like to move to in the soon future, taking down the numbers at various apts, lofts, & duplexes.  Feels so good to know that opportunity is ahead because I’m really hurting for a job and need to hit the highway and Atlanta is just the place.  I just wish there was less crime, here in Alabama we don’t have to worry about locked doors and such but I know I can adapt because a big city is where I belong–the city must have surrounding wild life & outdoor recreation for sure.  I think if I can handle D.C. I can deal with ATL, I mean come on it’s still in Georgia. hehe. Enough ramblings for now, I am going to check out my friend’s art gallery opening at O.N.O of all the photos she took in Ireland for a DVD.

Sweet dreams to all when your head finally hits the pillow!
