Out of the Doors

Today’s weather was so lovely that my boyfriend and I decided to do many things outdoors to take total advantage.  We went to Mana, an organic and health food market/cafe for lunch and then went and plundered at my favorite antique shop.  We also did our two favorite activities with one another, frisbee throwing and bike riding.  I did some backyard cleaning as well since it’s been too gross to go and clean up around the garden.  My fuzzy lavender plant needed to expand it’s roots so I replanted it in a larger pot and got my hands dirty for a bit.  I love sunny days!!!  The clouds recently started rolling in and with it comes horrible weather, so right before the skies got dark we rode to Capture Studio for cheesecake and chai tea ((MmmMmm))

Can’t tell if the sky is laughing or crying..

E.T.S.Y.

I know I have mentioned the fact that I started a small vintage Etsy shop but haven’t gone into much detail.  This is because it really doesn’t have all that much merch and I wanted to stock it up a little bit more. The name is HippyChic after my username for Etsy & Blogger (but the ‘hippie’ spelling is different, kind of aggravating) After selling the Chanel flip flops I added a couple items and have pictures for some others that need to be posted.  Here is what the store has now:

Feeling Free Spirited

So Saturday night was my friend Kristie Jo, Emily, and Amy’s Era Christmas Cocktail and my-0h-my was it splendid.  It was held in Northport at Emily’s adorable new house that was so cute I could barely control myself. My boyfriend and I went with the 60s, of course, and I’m pretty sure there wasn’t an era missed by any party people.   There was glorious amounts of food; vege bean dip, white bean chicken chili, corn chowder, green bean casserole, along with all the fixings. The gals even had balloons!!  Outside was a fire pit where I was parked next to for a good bit of the evening.
Here are my favorite photos from the night,

Beth Ann and I striking a pose in the lovely kitchen.

I just adore this cupcake tree, and the treats were delish!

I went home with the gray one

The most relaxing party dress there is.

The Sagittarius Party Girlies

You can’t tell but his shirt is really retro with the collar and cut, we coordinated so well with the gold, green and red.
Love it.

Miranda wore 80s, as expected :))  It’s funny, all the girlfriends have their eras they tend to stick with.

Hands up, one of my favorite parties.

This weekend was a blast!
Friday was spent grilling at my place with my boyfriend and some other friends.  The dinner consisted of marinated teriyaki chicken, black beans & yellow rice, with a mushroom & onion dish.  Then it was onto a local bar to boogy the night away to a great cover band from Atlanta playing tunes from bands as The Grateful Dead, Widespread Panic, Phish, etc…Since Kevin, the bassist, is good pals with my boyfriend we were treated as VIPs and had a good time breaking it down to the wee hours.  Spent Saturday afternoon laying around until getting ready for the next shindig.

since..
Saturday night deserves its own post, I will keep you waiting for the Era Christmas Party pics :))

not for long, I am pretty bored on this very l.a.z.y. Sunday.

When the weather outside is frightful..

I wear my new H&M coat and scarf.
I bought them in ATL a couple of weeks ago and have been throughly enjoying them just never got around to picturing I suppose. Anywho, I love the black/gray fade and wide collar.  Reminds me of the tan coat that MK was scene sporting a month ago.
