LumberJack Coming Back.

Savannah and I (the chick I model for her vintage ebay store) have noticed a trend that is popping up for this season.

It’s always been around but now its in full swing and fashionista’s everywhere are paying mega bucks for flannel that normally tree-cutter-downers sport. Savannah witnessed an ebay auction for a blue/black combo plaid LumberJack flannel end for $255.00. Can you believe this?? They put the shirt on a cute girl with other cool clothes and there you go, they made bank. The other day my boyfriend even showed up with a red/black combo flannel shirt, which I am totally borrowing. i can dig it, I love red and am falling in love with black this season. just ordered two black shirts from Urban:

lunch break is over, now I must peddle back to work..

Small Part of Me.

This weekend was a pretty good one. Friday went to a hip bar downtown to see a reggea band, Down Loa. good time as usual.

Saturday, some friends came over to Garr’s and we cooked a huge breakfast and watched Alabama beat Tennessee’s ass. I couldn’t believe it, but it happened. afterwards met my folks and fam on the Quad for some drinks and football celebration. although football is not my bag it sure is my families’. I retired early saturday which was fine with me.

Today was the Kentuck art festival, which I was looking forward to for a while. and it was even better than I imagined. There were so many artists, I’m sure I missed many booths. A lot of things were overpriced but I got a few cute trinkets and art work. We met some crazy hippies that were pretty famous around the art community that were very kind people. Here is what I purchased today:

the ‘peace’ cards are so adorable, not ment to be sent (I asked, haha) just to tuck in a gift. I bought the 5 pins from the same girls. can’t have enough buttons!! yeehawindustries.com

This is a poster I bought from this crazy man who has a huge wooden press and makes all kind of prints. He even let us use an old fashion print press to print the Kentuck logo on our bag. So cool. kennedyprints.com

This is the FRONT of a screen-printed journal my boyfriend bought me. standarddeluxe.com

this is the BACK of the journal. can’t wait to write in it.

so sad the festival is over, I wish I would have gone both days. oh well there’s always next year…
as for now, Adobe Illustrator homework is loudly calling my name.
egh.

Oh Mr. Adams..

Last night was the Ryan Adams show in Birmingham…. everything was going just splendid until some redneck that had one to many Budlights had to yell “shut up and play a song!!” while he was talking. Ryan being the sensitive fellow he is, played just one more song and then left the stage. No Encore! The audience was pissed. Apparently this behavior is nothing new, he has a tendency to take to heart what the audience does/says. I’ll admit some guys in the crowd were being jerks, and I was suprised to hear someone be so rude to someone they were paying to see. This was my first Ryan Adams show, and I did have good time..but for 45 bucks I needed a little more than 40 minute concert. Come on Ryan all we want is an encore!!

Big News.

I haven’t developed the habit of updating everyother day yet so now I’ve gotten very backed up. I haven’t even mentioned the fact that my mom and I won a Dolce & Gabbana suede coat worn by Susan Sarandon. Pretty nuts. It just sorta happened, we went to this charity auction for breast cancer and there it was. Sooo pretty and totally sweet in ever way. after a few drinks my mom just kept telling me to bid more. It was in the silent part (of the auction ) and I kinda had to run and place a bid (of $330.00) at the V.E.R.Y. last second. AHHH.
