INSTA-FLASHY

as mentioned previously, I HAVE JOINED THE INSTAGRAM COMMUNITY!
not kidding when i say this iphone has changed my life – holy smokes.
here are some of my favorite snaps from the past week, wasn’t easy but i tried to keep it down to a manageable amount..
one
vintage Chanel buttons, set in sterling silver and strung on fresh water pearls. i work for the designer two days a week as her personal assistant. line is called Button Jewelry by Val Colbert.
two
i walk thru this everyday.
three
new Kimchi Blue suede platforms. i am beyond thrilled i found something girly, stylish and somewhat “heeled” that are actually comfortable! wore these to the Castleberry Art Stroll. please excuse the terrible polish job…slapped it on when i thought i was getting another foot tattoo earlier that day-oops!
four
art at the Granite Room Gallery-Castleberry Hill-Atlanta
five
AmericasMart-my job place Wed-Friday and during shows. we just had the April Apparel show, thank goodness it’s over.
six
goodies at Miss B showroom
seven
world’s shortest dress award
(outfit deets- UO dress, Kickers boots, vintage
Saks Fifth Ave. bag, Oakley shades, Miss B necklace)
eight
newest addition to my wall decor, vintage dream catcher via Etsy
i was immediately in love with the silly tuft of fur and ball of leather, so unique :)
nine
ready to take notes at my photography class!
(notebook was gifted by my future sister-in-law who already
knows me so well!)
ten
picked up these boots on mega sale in the Virginia-Highlands. reg price $158 got’em for $36!
eleven
vintage bolo from Elizabeth’s yardsale, where i was served mimosas and picked up many other goodies!
twelve
this was a “show day” outfit at work, most of this outfit is from Rag-O-Rama..everything but the top which was $4.80 from Forever 21.

oh yea, i cut off my hairs-AGAIN!

happy almost-weekend!

Date Dress

as a treat for surviving shows at the Mart i allow myself to get a piece from the showroom and it usually ends up being a dress. in between the International Gift and Apparel show (happening now) our Spring supplement started rolling in and when the girls saw the crochet collared polka dot number pictured below they just knew i would be snatching it up-and they were RIGHT!
they called it the “jess dress” for a reason as it’s “sooooo me”- haha!  from the time of purchase i had a particular occasion in mind for the “jess dress” which was a brunch date with a cute boy that ended up turning into a brunch + museum date this past Saturday.

i must say: the dress and the date were fabulous!

outfit details:
jacket: Urban Outfitters brand (super old!) sunnies: Oakley, boots: vintage, purse: Eliot Lucca

if you’re around the Atlanta area and want something interesting and educational to do this weekend i suggest the Michael C. Carlos museum on Emory’s campus! the exhibits include ancient Roman art, ancient Greek art and an Egyptian exhibit with mummies! also for a limited time they have a whole floor of mandala art, though we were super rushed through this section it was very interesting and so intricate!

happy Friday!

all over Urban

generally try not to wear head-to-toe of just one brand but sometimes it just happens, in this outfit’s case it’s Urban Outfitters (minus accessories). the top and boots were Christmas gifts from mom and the Urban Renewal Levi shorts i bought after holiday markdowns for only $9.99
nothing too fancy and even though there isn’t much color, i do like the pallet of dark shades.
