The Days Pass

The past couple of days I’ve had the worst headache ever. It’s been following me everywhere. I have not, however, let it slow me down.  I think the achy dome is stress related due to the recent events, i.e. my department getting cut and loosing my job. It has thrown me through many loops and upset me pretty badly.  The only thing to do now is get back on my feet and start from the start.  And that’s what I have been doing, I went all over the place handing out my resume’ and letters of recommendation.  There are a few hopeful positions that wouldn’t be too shabby and I’m crossing my fingers. In the mean time I have been doing lots of arts-and-crafts and rearranging my town house in all sorts of ways.  I am not going to let the set back of loosing my job to a piss poor economy stop me from dressing cute either. I am a believer that if you want to feel good, than look good. Sunday (for an amazing pre-Thanksgiving Potluck with tons of friends) and Monday (running errands and hanging with the sweetie), here is what I wore:

Tomorrow I’m flying out for my brother’s last home football game, and if I haven’t mentioned the bro yet, he’s the quaterback at Washington U in St. Louis.  There is another brother as well who is currently my roommate in the townhouse.  We will be arriving in St. Louis around 12 or so and going to meet up with Buck and go to some banquet.  The game is going to be miserable considering the freezing temp and chance of rain.(but) Have to be there for the fam, and we always have a good time together.

Below is an outfit I wore last week when I was obsessed with my black jeans (still am!!)

What a chaotically fun weekend. Friday didn’t go completely as planned and when does it ever. (?) When we finally made it into STS9 after the “no-will-call-ticket-fiasco,” and had been given two free tickets, I realized it was all worth it because the show was awesome.  They [Sound Tribe Sector Nine] had this light system that looked like huge robots behind the band while performing and in complete synch with the tunes. Afterwards we spent the remainder of the evening frolicking around the bed and breakfast.  Here are some photos:

A couple too many dolls for my taste, but I thought over all it was beautiful.

It was a super chilly night so I threw on my (new) Vintage Members Only jacket that I bought at One Night Only last Wednesday.
*******
I’m so in love with these pants/boots/jacket that I have been wearing different combos for the past couple of days.

This expression really illustrates how boring today really is. Not much to do at work just waiting around on approvals. b.o.r.i.n.g. But fear not, it’s Thursday and my spirits are high because tonight I’m going to hang with some gals and then tomorrow it’s boogie time!! Going to Birmingham for the weekend to check into a bed & breakfast built in the late 1800’s. Then quickly heading to the Alabama Theater to bust some moves at STS9. I really enjoy the AL Theater and esp enjoy the band so it should turn out to be one hella good night. Saturday we plan on spending time around the B&B and taking some photos for my new Etsy shop. The afternoon is going to be spent hiking around the mountians at Oak Mtn National Park and then off to a bar watching to check out the game and the evening at a fancy restaurant. I am really pumped and hope all goes as planned.

Have a grand Thursday All!
xoxo,
Jess
