my first day of work went great!!! arrived early and was able to come home for lunch, feed && play with the animals and sit down for a minute or two. .the staff is really fun and fairly new (three people’s first day on the job, shop has been real busy and needs more hands. . .) so we are learning together with the alums. 8am came early but by after some rocket fuel, aka, the shop’s coffee, I was wide-eyed and bushy tailed-ready to GO!

hehe, well anyways, I wore the below outfit out to dinner at Six Feet Under-yummy seafood joint with a great view-back when my brother came to town for a couple nights.  I bought the dress off Ebay (and wore it HERE too) a couple years ago and am so thankful it still fits, the band around the waist can be restricting, so I ended up changing when we went out to the bar but still love sporting the cacti appliqués around!

spotted this flower out back and fell in love! it’s still kickin it today (picture taken 4 or so days ago) and closes up certain parts of the day-too cute!

i looovve mushrooms as well as fungus, moss, and really all wildlife in general and thought these bright little guys were awesome!

Hope everyone’s Monday was grand!! Aside from a great day at the job the other parts of the day were rather, 

ridiculous. 

I’m just glad to have human interaction with fun people my age!

As promised a couple posts ago, I wanted to share my favorite pics from the shows I’ve been to lately. but first I need to announce something really awesome. . 

/////I GOT A JOB!!!//////

starting Monday I will be working at FASTSIGNS downtown as a customer service associate helping peeps choose the materials, size, color, etc. . of their project. The hours are 8-5 and it’s only minutes down the road, literally, less than a mile!! Don’t have to dress up either, we wear jeans, tennies, and a polo that is provided-which means I can dedicate all my clothes $$$ to fun gear! Way stoked and wanted to share since I’ve bitched constantly about the job hunt, which is O.V.E.R. 

So now that that’s done, let’s get on with the photos////

Shrimp and salmon are being prepared for grillage since we ran our weekly errands (ie. groceries, pet shop. .etc. .) and picked up some goodies including my favorite summer time brew-Abita Strawberry. mMMmmM. Last night went to the StarBar with Ashliegh so probably going to take tonight eazy–Hope you ladies are having a swell Friday!!

went down to the 5 spot in Little Five to check on a bar-tending job lead and this is what I sported. . .

my sweet flower lady gave me this beauty on the free and said it will last for one year! we’ll see.

a vintage shelf I finally hung after a year of owning and decorated it with some of my favorite trinkets. since this photo I have already changed the positions and added some goodies. .

so aside from being a wee bit overwhelmed last week it was very enjoyable too, ate some really great meals-one of my favorites was via Six Feet Under-shrimp && grits bowl-mmM. We also went to a Braves game where they totally kicked butt against Phili, took brother and gf to our favorite spots and consumed many yummy drinks.  On Thursday I went with my old college roomie to the Black Lips show at The Earl and had the time of my life! there were three bands, moshing, a couple crowd surfers (small crowd, kinda silly. .) and a legit fight broke out-they pretty much tackled Ashliegh and I-like I said time of my life! I have photos from all these events including yesterday’s celebration and will get to those soooooon.

had a great weekend, although it did not include that many photos I do have a couple from the week dazzze..

made it a little tradition going to the Green Door Market on Sundays to pick up fresh flowers from next door-these are the second go around and pictures of new ones coming later. maybe.

speaking of fresh, I was walking around our premises and discovered a large black berry bush stocked with ripe-ready-to-go berries! This is the BIGGEST BERRY found,  I zoomed in on Iphoto and you could see the moisture on an individual berry, way cool to have a good camera! after this was taken I ate it immediately and right then all the sweating && burning cuts from the prickly bush were totally worth it.

this is batch one of two, my neighbor picked another 2 cups or so and I washed’em up real good and baked my first pie! Super simple too, I found the recipe ((here))

the second pie crust, used for the top, was kinda gooey and therefore broke apart making it hard to cover so I improvised and attempted to make ‘weaved strips.’ 

ha, turned out ghetto but way Yummy!! especially heated up with vanilla  icecream.

don’t really like this outfit all that much, but am really excited about these sandals. they are a little hard to find things to go with (maybe I’m just over analyzing) but they sure are comfy. This week I plan on celebrating the 4th with my family and catching some ‘healthy’ sun via the lake and my handy dandy SPF. def going to post the latest vintage gear whenever Savannah gets it up on the Ebay store…*cough cough*…
