BLACK AND WHITE FILM

Check out the last bit of the film Dustin and I developed and scanned! This is Ilford XP-2 Super Chromogenic B&W 135 Film he had in the camera for a few months taking photos in New Orleans, Colorado and parts of Georgia.  Like the Lomo film, I really enjoy the imperfections.  Light leaks and odd exposures gives ordinary environments character.  That first photo blew us away. The crispness of the building is stunning!

Lastly the final three photos were taken in Cloudland Canyons, GA

Dustin’s so talented, love that he shoots film while I shoot digital.  It’s fun to see the difference in what we capture during our trips.  Hope all of these film photos have inspired you to dust off that analog camera and shoot some film for yourselves!

STUDIO SOUTH

13527839694_82f34364e5_bThis time last week I had the pleasure of visiting the all-female creative space Studio South.  They hosted an evening of networking, photoboothing, sipping and nibbling. One of the best parts of the night was that I was able to finally meet several people I had connected with online but hadn’t met in ‘real life’ such as photographer Paige Jones. While I was there I had my Mark II snapping photos of the amazing decor and styling. Really like how moody they turned out, take a look-

OUT OF ORDER

Dustin recently developed a roll of 35mm film from his grandfathers old Canon camera and we both loved the turn out of the light leaks and grainy images! My stud is quite the photographer!

Photos are from our Savannah trip, perusing around Oakland Cemetery, beach times in FL, 90s grunge party, Tater’s 4th bday and little gal running is Dustin’s youngest sister. Dustin has been teaching himself the process of using a film camera and getting the hang of the different settings and the camera’s odd “ways” as it sometimes has a mind of its own! I love the outcome of this roll and there’s many more goodies but these were my faves.

Hope everyone’s Turkey Day celebrations were filling, drama-free and relaxing! I’ll be recapping mine here on the blog Thursday!
