Turning cabinet into chalkboard mini wet bar///I found this vintage piece in Florence, AL while visiting Emma and doing a little antique shopping. Enjoyed the blue color for a year but was wanting a change, thought the black chalkboard paint would look nicely in our place and my-oh-my did it turn out great.

((couldn’t really post any pictures from the first night, not blog appropriate)) We did have a lingerie shower that was fun, she got some really great stuff-mostly tasteful-I gave her pink sequined heart-shaped pasties that had tassels on them with a matching g-string. ha.

Hop God///
something funny i wanted to mention about the festi was that i had around 6-7 different GUYS come up and tell me that my shoes where cool. one in particular said “those are awesome their like Pocahontas in the back but summer time in the front!” i believe they were all straight and just legitimately liked them, thought it was odd. my gfs were like-what the hell?!

I mentioned in previous post that we (4 out of 6 of us. .) hit up the hippest dance party around and this is what I wore/ / / /

vintage genuine Hawaii dress, vintage Etienne Aigner, Lucky Brand necklace, Bear Trap wedges/ / /
this trip was so much fun! I went to school with most of the girls and hadn’t seen a couple in a minute and what better circumstances than a friend taking the plunge.
today has been rather productive, despite the fact I am very sore from yesterday’s tubbing experience. Ashleigh, her BF (Matt), Dusty and I bought some tubes and floated down the Chattahoochee River and little did we know the water rarely gets above 50degrees! We were somewhat miserable with stiff muscles and burning abs (from trying to hold my weight out of the water) but had an overall good floatage that ended with walking up onto a swinger party of sorts. yes swingers. in the parking lot. pretty sure my boyfriend was hit on by a red head with tiny pig tails and squeeky voice, but all was good and I was just laughing away until we sped on out of there. . .
about to soak up some of the new cable we got hooked up today. the choppy free shiz wasn’t working anymore. . have a swell night lady friends!

Just finished up a grand [homemade] dinner consisting of lemon pepper baked Salmon, golden corn, and mashed taters with cheese-mmm mmm-and now chilling out around the house with my feet up, tube on, and laptop near. Thinking about joining in on the National Night Out event going on down the street put on to take back our neighborhoods and reduce crime. . .from what we gather it’s basically a party. . .we’ll see. . .sitting around sounds real nice after a long long day of work. . .Take Care Ladies!

Speak Easy

Speak Easy
Last night was too rad not to go ahead with a post, fast forwarding>> other pictures and stories, but whatev. It started off grilling out with another couple, then Ash and I headed to Apache Cafe for my buddy’s event, leaving the men to the party upstairs that involved Hennessy, tunes, and Pictionary ((needless to say we found them in rare form later that evening)) Colt, with whom I work with, is part of Speak Easy, a production group, who put on the event-he also was part of the live grafitti going on outdoors. My friend Kevin ended up also being there playing bass with The Nice Guise /feat/Newberry Jam, which was a group of guys playing everything from percussion drums, keyboard, sax, trumpet with two white dudes rapping like crazy! stellar time for sure!

normally I’d just wait to picture till they were worn with an outfit but not in this case, the details are important and so is the DEAL-both for under $80!! can’t wait for the rain to clear to be able to wear them out and about!
**a couple posts ago I mentioned a painting project that was underway in which we changed the existing accent wall from a pale bizarre purple to a sunflower yellow ((MUSTARD)) color. totally love it, have a couple more projects before full pics are shown but just wanted to make a note. also the vintage pink “boomerang” diner table is a new addition that I’m still searching for the perfect chairs to place around. . can’t wait to show the dining room/wet bar photos upon completion!
