STACEY BODE PHOTOGRAPHY

have I mentioned that I have beautiful and talented friends? probably a few times. but it’s TRUE! can’t help but brag on them. regarding said friends I wanted to share a photoshoot my gal pal Jess Jones participated in with Stacey of Stacey Bode Photography at an old movie prop warehouse (um, talk about DREAM photoshoot destination!!!) Jess is so comfortable in front of a camera and you can really see it and I just adore her wardrobe! the outcome of their shoot was beautiful!

Josh Gwyn Photography

last month I went out to Stone Mountain State Park with some friends to participate in a photoshoot that was for Nadia Marie’s styling portfolio and Josh Gwyn’s photography portfolio. Josh Gwyn is a buddy of mine who recently interned for Leah + Mark his last semester of college and just received a degree in Photography from Georgia State. he’s really great behind the lens, check out a few of my favorite snaps from  our Sunday at Stone Mountain-

above outfit was styled by Nadia Marie for her portfolio as she was applying to Anthropologie and Madewell, only thing I remember is the jewelry was J Crew

check out Josh’s website, it’s loaded with beautiful images, if you like what you see-hire him for your wedding, party or portraits!

FLOWER POWER

for this month’s LF X COMMON CREATIV DIY + DRINK i made a flower crown from faux flowers, felt and floral wire. after browsing through other blogger’s tutorials i found multiple ways of producing the crown and through my own small battle this method, in my opinion, is the best way for a professional result that’ll last. here are some pics, see Common Creativ for full instructions, post and drink recipe!

ended up not using my dogwood flowers so i used them to create a simple version using only 3 ingredients: flowers, hot glue & thick floral wire. way easy!

then started experimenting with my camera’s shutter speed, it was nearly dark when i took these but managed to pull what little light was left and got some cool shots-
