think this is my first ‘mirror outfit shot’ on the blog…don’t know what’s up with the serious face but it’s the best i can do to show a full length shot. it shall do. what do you think of the boutique-chic right?! i took a lot more for their Facebook page and website, however, these are the ones i thought YOU would dig. if you’re local, it’s worth paying a visit!

clothing swap, baby not included.

sorta doing this a lil backwards as ive already shown a swap score (see previous post) and never really showed pics from said event. didn’t really think i had enough footage but as it turns out i couldn’t hold back sharing the few snaps i did take at the BEST CLOTHING SWAP EVERRR!

the hostesses jil & jenny are huge vintage enthusiasts and let go of some really great pieces – some of which jenny so graciously offered into the mix from her Etsy vintage shop Two Tart –

SWAP SCORE:

few weekends back went to a super legit clothing swap hosted by a new vintage loving gal pal named Jil. she had everyone check in at the door with their items and organize them into categories based on price rage-high end/designer vintage, medium range and casual/lower end. you were given a ticket per piece in each category in turn swapping evenly so everyone left with something equally as awesome as they brought. i scored some really great pieces my favorite being an Australian suede and fur jacket Kate Hudson probably wore in Almost Famous, literally squealed with joy!
another item i went home with was the wacky vintage top below, the bizarrely random pattern immediately caught my eye!

this bag has made an LF.com appearance before but in case you are a new reader-YES IT DOES PLAY MUSIC! and pretty loud too!

all you have to do is simply hook up an ipod and JAM.

it is very difficult to continue to grow your hair out when you see Chloe looking extremely adorable with this banged bob…been gawking at this lookbook for days and had to share.
two of my favorite pieces are the two-toned blazer and the blazer tank sheer dress, yum yum

you can usually find me sporting a dress but i am and always have been a tomboy at heart so this line definitely catches my attention. aside from always wearing a dress, i usually can be found with a blazer of various shapes and materials-cannot have enough in my closet! (so it seems…)

Date Dress

as a treat for surviving shows at the Mart i allow myself to get a piece from the showroom and it usually ends up being a dress. in between the International Gift and Apparel show (happening now) our Spring supplement started rolling in and when the girls saw the crochet collared polka dot number pictured below they just knew i would be snatching it up-and they were RIGHT!
they called it the “jess dress” for a reason as it’s “sooooo me”- haha!  from the time of purchase i had a particular occasion in mind for the “jess dress” which was a brunch date with a cute boy that ended up turning into a brunch + museum date this past Saturday.

i must say: the dress and the date were fabulous!

if you’re around the Atlanta area and want something interesting and educational to do this weekend i suggest the Michael C. Carlos museum on Emory’s campus! the exhibits include ancient Roman art, ancient Greek art and an Egyptian exhibit with mummies! also for a limited time they have a whole floor of mandala art, though we were super rushed through this section it was very interesting and so intricate!

happy Friday!
