Coachella Day 3

c5
{exp. 2007 polaroid}
finally made it to the Last day of Coachella, took long enough right?? i want to apologize for my lack of postings, comments, and responses…currently using a free internet connection that works only 50% of the time and then hitting up coffee shops for additional usage.
///continuing on with coverage of one of the B/E/S/T weekends E/V/E/R!

we had many wacky times in that musty van!

i regret to inform you but we did end up missing the Gorillaz…every time i think about this i get pretty emotional. really. i mean, when will i come across that opportunity again? probably not ANYTIME soon. but our driver had obligations and we were all depending on them, so no real way of getting around it. sunday’s line-up was pretty packed with DJs, or we just hit up all their sets, very enjoyable nonetheless!!! Rusko was one of my favorite performances all weekend, he threw it DOWN, and we threw it down right along with..

[Holga w/Lomo 35mm]
developed my first Holga roll and was really bummed when i learned i had exposed MOST of the photos. out of 32 i only got 6 :(( BUT the few that did turn out were really cool, so i’ve learned my lesson and going to try try again!

my sticker from 2007, this year was a little more h/a/p/p/y :))
hippie dance
met this fellah named Ari who went around with this “menu board” of different songs that he would sing. i choose ‘The Hippie’ which was pretty clever to say the least, he writes the tunes all himself and performs to anyone who is willing to listen and enjoy. turns out he didn’t even buy tickets to the festival instead just got a camping pass and hung out with people, singing his songs and getting tons of free shizz!! my buddy filmed and posted on youtube!

this tent-like structure had djs going at all hours of the day, spinning and making for a huge spring/break/style/shin/dig. this guy on stage had a water gun hooked to a high powered hose that kept us all cooled off. needless to say, we spent a good bit of sunday dancing around the shaded paradise!
blueberry fairy
my girly friend said i looked like a blueberry, i donned myself “blueberry fairy” found this vintage [homemade, no tag..] romper at a salvation army in birmingham a long long time ago and kinda forgot about it cause it’s a little nutty but then spotted it while packing and thought-PERFECT!! pretty excited to share with everyone!

TIESTO

Tiesto’s new album Kaleidoscope has many collaborations with some really great artists (Emily of Metric, Kele of Bloc Party, & others) one of my FAVORITES being “Feel it in My Bones” with Tegan & Sara. took the above photo during the show, really loved all the “music videos” he had playing while providing funky beatzzz that we really did feel in our bones!
hope you enjoy this song as much as i, literally play it everyday, at least once!
this weekend i’m spending time with my family and friends in Alabama. one of my good pals graduated from UA today and we are going to celebrate with some keg beer, grilled foodies, sparklers, and a Unicorn pinatas i found at this sweet variety shop in ATL (she is unaware of this surprise and i’m SOOOO excited!!)
hope everyone is having a lovely weekend!!
