Hair Ball

Sorry about the lack of posts here lately but I have been working myself to the bones over at Belk.  They had me training Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, & Sunday and now I finally get to start selling on the floor tomorrow.  Things will be a lot better after I get out of the stock room to the floor and start making a lot more money.  On a non-work related note I had the craziest jam packed weekend starting on Thursday night with a wine tasting along meeting some new ladies that are super cool.  I took pictures multiple nights but just can’t wait to show the evidence from the Mardi Gras ball ((Saturday)) presented by the Mystic Krewe of the Druids downtown at the Bama Theater. The proceeds went to the West Alabama AIDS Outreach ((WAAO)) and as always the girls and I picked up tons & tons of freebie goodies including minis ((Absolute, Jim Beam, & Alab
ama Slammers)) beads, snacks, wine stopper, and so much more!  We started the afternoon at 3:00 heading to Emily’s place and snackng on fruit, veges, mini crab cakes, paninis, and champaign.  Then we all teamed up and helped with one another’s hair & makeup.

junk in the trunk

Another notable obsession of mine is the hoarding of awesome stickers.  I have been a sticker lover since birth then with the invention of Lisa Frank and sticker books it was only intensified. Doesn’t matter the shape/size/color if it resembles a sticker it’s going in my collection.  I always knew it would take something really awesome to come along that would force me to let go of my collection, and that something is a trunk I found back in October.
While heading to do some volunteer work cleaning the Cahaba River Dusty, Andrea, and I got extremely lost and wound up in the middle of the Talladega Forest.  After wasting hours and missing the clean up we decided to go garage sale searching since it was a Saturday and found a couple that just didn’t produce anything good.  Before calling it a day we stopped by the Moundville Flea Market and I came across the trunk (below) filled with baby clothes that didn’t appear to be for sale. After asking the kind lady she informed me it was $15.00 and from then on it belonged to me.  All it needed was a little TLC and a slight face lift. . .

//vest:Vintage, dress: Patagonia, necklace: Bonnaroo//

I was kinda sad sticking them to the trunk but quickly got over it when the project was finished because it looked so cool

I would love to explain each and every sticker but I had my first ‘work’ day (tutorials galore!) and want to r.e.l.a.x. which means MOVIE TIME!

thank you squared

Ana b. a lovely chick from New Zealand with the great blog//On Dressing Up//gave me my very first blog award//Thanks!

I was tagged by Eyeliah over at Style Symmetry//Show Off Your Blog Workspace Tag//This was fun, thanks Lady!

Notice the junk circle I have formed around where I sit//hehe//one of the only vents on this floor is right by the arm (where my computer is) so I try to keep warm. The cellar staying a constant freezing temperature doesn’t help, but I do love the storage. Something I’d like to mention is that I collect vintage records//one of the many things I collect//I have framed some of my favorite records with the best cover art and the one pictured in second room photo is a Stevie Nicks album//she’s also great with Fleetwood Mac. again, thanks for the tag!
I have chosen the following three ladies because I completely adore their style & can only imagine where they create such lovely blogs//have fun with this ladies!
