I am light. I am light.

poem found on FFFFound

There has been a couple of days each week when the sun shines high & bright but the temps are still pretty cold.  When tolerable, I will hang in the back yard around my garden, listen to music, & hang with Miss Kitty.

I had another interview this morning with Word Way Press, only they don’t have a current position open the owner just wanted to meet me, I suppose it wasn’t a real interview except for free lance work. I want to scream these days at the job market, it’s like you have to have a PHD to get a restaurant job. I have a bachelors degree with lots of APR & PR experience, even working at my college newspaper, and can’t land shiz.  I’m not going to get discouraged just more determined. I don’t know if I’ve mentioned this but I am planning a move to Atlanta this summer to open the doors to more opportunity. I h.o.p.e.

My items: bow & locket/vintage, amber ring/Local Colors, Key West.
Savannah’s: belt/-Vintage, glasses-thrifted.

This is a photo from a shoot I did with Savannah for her store, which is on hiatus at the moment, and I am not sure if the (dress & coat) have been sold or not. I think the outfit we put together turned out really funky, and I totally love it. I will definitely let everyone know when the store is up & running again because there is some really great stuff! Speaking of Ebay, I sold 5 of 6 items listed & shipped them out today.  The black & white docs were hard to let go of but I am glad I have more room in my shoe closet!

I Wish Wednesday

Found on FFFFound
I dedicate my entire I Wish Wednesday to this ‘storage perfection’ dresser.  I stumbled across this photo last week & have since peeked at it a couple of times a day. I would love to attempt a DIY project & recreate this fine piece of carpentry, but have a hard time believing that is even possible. Sigh. This is what wish for & to have all my things sorted nicely in those cool drawers.
did I mention my love for home decor?

Little Business Lotta Play

blouse/boots/purse/shades: Vintage,
Cords: AE, Vintage Fence Decor: Found at local thrift, set of 6

Monday was spent designing, printing, & taking care of things around the house. Later I sipped on delicious white wine with some lady friends & watched watched United States of Tara. This called for a versatile outfit I could be comfy in for the entire day, which is what I look for in most outfits. These cords are from American Eagle, and have basically turned vintage.  I worked at AE in 1oth&11th grade, and purchased these during that time. To be completely honest, I probably wear these once a week! This blouse rocks as well, I found it at a reconstruction vintage stand at a music festival in Florida, Langerado.  I believe it was a dress, but is way better as a trapeze top.  Oh and don’t expect another outfit until at least Friday because we have been rained in and a trip to Walmart does not call for anything pretty. Have a pleasant night, I am going to Yoga to center myself and get back on track!

Can You Imagine?

I was reading on Refinery 29 about the Rio Fashion Week held in complete paradise, a.k.a. Brazil, and was blown away by a couple photos.

The above photo took place in the middle of the jungle on a montain top, during the show there were huge butterflies floating everywhere in the air.

I really enjoyed this interesting runway made from yearbook photos (or so it seems), & not to mention those awesome pants!

I just cannot imagine going to a fashion show this incredible.

wow. right?

I have been taking so many photos, that I have gotten backed up with posting. I like to think that’s a good thing, because when life starts going in slow mo one can get down. These photos are from Sunday, which was China’s New Years. Four friends and I went to a huge celebration but our fashionably late timing kinda screwed us. There were dragons, frog legs, egg rolls, mini parade, and other cool stuff. They claimed they were too full and our access was D.e.n.i.e.d.

So instead we still went for Chinese food and ate at the best place in town, Swen.  The evening wasn’t ruined after all, and we had a really grand time! No dragons, but we ate fortune cookies & laughed. That’s all I need.

Tonight is Thai.
Thank goodness for kind businesses feeding us cheap food!
